The Electric Group is a partnership between a group of electrical contractors and IBEW Local Union #159 who have been serving Dane County and the surrounding counties for the past 114 years. The Electric Group aims to provide the highest quality service to its customers and to make a positive impact within the Madison community. Members of The Electric Group develop innovative solutions to meet their customers’ needs; lead the industry in the practical application of new technologies; and set industry standards for traditional electrical and integrated building solutions. The Electric Group is a firm believer of the importance of making an impact within the community outside of the electrical construction industry. The Electric Group is the host of the annual Fantasy In Lights event at Olin Park; and has made generous donations to groups and organizations such as: American Family Children’s Hospital, Project Homes: Serving Those Who Serve, U.W. Health Burn Center, The Goodman Community Center, Boy Scout Troop 88, Deerfield Area Youth Group, Badger Honor Flight and many more.
The Electric Group members receive the highest quality of training through their 5-year apprenticeship program which provides them the tools that position them as a customer’s full service energy solutions provider. These training programs provide information and instruction on innovation, business trends, and effective leadership that keep our members on the forefront of the electrical industry.
Safety is of paramount importance to The Electric Group. They believe in maintaining safe job sites and working conditions, and making sure their employees are safety-trained in all areas, from fall protection and use of ladders and scaffolding, to operation of scissors lifts and heavy equipment; excavation practices and working safely in confined spaces. Safe job sites make for financial efficiency by minimizing delays and financial losses associated with unsafe working conditions.
